The fabulous Baghdaddies have recorded a new video as a teaser for their new album due out early next year. The Daily Splash can exclusively reveal that it sounds great and will finally propel them into the national consciousness where they truly belong.

Not a new band but one of my favourites in Newcastle in the late 1980s. These clips were from TX45 a Newcastle-based TV show from 1987. I remember several fantastic gigs of theirs at the Broken Doll, Riverside and Newcastle Playhouse….I wonder what happended to them?

This is the first single by the utterly fabulous (and scarily young) We Were Promised Jetpacks, I love it.

The fabulous Baghdaddies take time out from recording their new album to play a Friday night gig on 12th June at the Vagabond Boogaloo club at Barden’s Boudoir.

It is one of Time Out‘s recommmendations for the week and well worth seeing.
